Hi there! My name is Molly and welcome to Project Wooden Spoon!

I’m an avid home baker, lover of all things food, red wine enthusiast, and travel addict. I come from a family of foodies, for lack of a better term. My brother, Colin, and I talk about food ALL THE TIME and he’ll even be doing occasional guest posts.

I believe in fresh and local ingredients (thank you California!) and always, always, always using real butter.

I guess you could say this blog was born out of necessity. Basically, I needed a project – something that would allow me to share my passion, hone my skills, and provide me with a creative outlet. For years I commuted for hours each day and when that ended I found myself with idle time – and you know what they say about idle time….
